Mame-Diarra Niang
Black Hole

STEVENSON is pleased to announce Black Hole by Mame-Diarra Niang, a residency taking place in the gallery’s fifth-floor space.

Niang has focused her photographic practice on an articulation of what she terms ‘the plasticity of territory’, in which she considers the landscape, urban and natural spaces as  biological beings in which cycles of life and death are embodied. The residency will take the form of a laboratory in which she will further explore this term using video as a medium and as a research tool.

The residency runs from 21 August to 20 September. Open studio by appointment only.

Thanks to the French Institute of South Africa for making the residency possible.
