Nandipha Mntambo and Berni Searle are among the five artists who will show in Contemporary Female Identities in the Global South at the Joburg Contemporary Art Foundation - new opening date to be announced.
Wim Botha, Hylton Nel, Claudette Schreuders and Berni Searle exhibit in KKNK25, a retrospective celebration uniting the festival's featured artists over past 24 years.
Berni Searle is the featured artist at the National Arts Festival in Makhanda. Searle premieres a new work at the Gallery in the Round, and earlier work shows at five other venues across Makhanda, including the Cathedral of St Michael and St George, and Noluthando Hall.
Berni Searle is the Maitland Institute's artist-in-residence with a project titled Press II Pause. The opening celebration featured recently gathered visual material, alongside related existing works, which provide a context for Searle’s ongoing concerns.
