Black Heart Procession

To Niang, Black Heart Procession can be seen as an ‘errance’ that does not aim at exploring a specific territory or place.

I have always been interested in how one perceives the world, how we so often direct our eyes towards the things we look at. We look, we look, we look at something and this is a very masculine way of experiencing the world, to look with a specific focus and the intention to understand, classify and control what is around us. But rarely do we tap into the feminine way which is just to sit, soften your eyes ... and let the world look at you, observe the world observing you.”
